Counselling
South Coast Counselling can provide you with a place where you will be able to talk and explore your concerns in confidence without fear or judgement in a quiet, calm, supportive environment. South Coast Counselling is a professional and confidential service that offers you support and understanding.
Counselling is a term often used to describe ‘talking therapies’ which provide a safe and supportive environment to explore and overcome any concerns or issues that you are experiencing that may be the cause of emotional anguish.
The benefit of accessing counselling is that you can talk freely about your difficulties with a trained professional who will be able to look at your concerns from a neutral, unbiased and balanced perspective, unlike for instance a family member or friend. The counsellor will support you, respect your views and help you reflect your own insights and work out strategies to enable you to move forward positively.
People access therapy for a variety of reasons which I can offer you support. However some of the most common issues people seek help with include:
- Depression
- Anxiety, Stress & panic
- Anger
- Family & Relationship issues
- Divorce & Separation
- Childhood experiences
- Loss & Bereavement
- Self-Harm
- Suicidal thoughts
- Panic Disorder
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Feelings of being overwhelmed
- Work-related stress/problems.
- Eating Disorders-compulsive behaviors
- Unresolved issues from the past
The above list is not exhaustive and counselling is always person centred and tailored to the individual client’s needs. Whether you are dealing with any of the issues listed, or simply want to enhance your life by talking to someone outside of your day-to-day life, I am here to help
